UNITED STATES TRAGER ASSOCIATION 2017 National Conference:
“Embodying the Feeling”
June 29 – July 2, 2017 Kansas City, Missouri
Join us at beautiful Unity Village!
The weekend will be filled with spaciousness for learning, integration, trade time, and face-to-face connections.
We are excited to have Deane Juhan, author of Job’s Body, with us to speak on the creativity that is alive and distinct in The Trager® Approach. We are equally excited to bring Steven Hoskinson, of Organic Intelligence® to the conference to share with you his great work with stress, trauma, and PTSD.
“Organic Intelligence® (OI) is a new and unique theory and clinical practice of human empowerment, resiliency, and compassion to resolve the devastating effects of stress, trauma, and PTSA. From a systems perspective, our clinical protocol suggests that what’s wrong with therapy is the focus on what’s wrong – including the focus on trauma. OI teaches how healing happens from the nervous system up and makes it possible to imagine freedom from suffering. Freedom from suffering becomes freedom for living an authentic, vibrant life and the here-and-now.”
Is this approach sounding familiar? As Trager Practitioners we, as well, invite our clients to explore the possibility of freedom, rather than the problem itself, and offer the space through touch and movement to shift into the here-and-now, shift into something lighter, freer, more full of ease. We could not be more excited about this! And to top it all off we are also offer a pre-conference workshop with keynote speaker Deane Juhan and a post-conference workshop with speaker Steven Hoskinson.
At the heart of this workshop is Embodiment. What does it feel like to truly embody something? What role does it play? What happens to your clarity of presentation or teaching when you embody what you’re teaching? We’ve included some great workshops and presenters to explore some of these questions.
Alongside this incredible exploration will be workshops focused on teaching skills. For those interested in diving more deeply into Trager® For Daily Life, both creative ideas and website information, and for skills workshops to explore teaching skills and inspire confidence and clarity in your work with clients, this conference is one to not miss.
